Welcome! On this page, users who meet eligibility criteria may request certain global permissions. Permissions which can be requested here include:

Note: Stewardship is requested at Requests for Stewardship only. Global IP block exemption requests can be made on Steward requests, if the user is able to edit on-wiki, or via e-mail to stewards@miraheze.org, if the user is not able to edit on-wiki, provided there is both a well articulated rationale and need for an exemption

  • All global permission requests must adhere to their relevant eligibility criterion and must stay open for at least a week and attain a support ratio of over 80%.

I am pleased to nominate Raidarr for Global Sysop. Everyone knows who Raidarr is (he tore Miraheze in two) so he needs no introduction. After talking with him, I believe he could be very helpful in providing more aid to users who request it. While Global Sysop has historically been chiefly countervandalism (despite the scope being widened a few years back), it has been planned for Global Sysops to have their scope widened. As that happens and Global Sysop transitions to the deputy Steward role it was always meant to be, I believe adding Raidarr would be very helpful as he is active on the support front and only hindered by the lack of people in positions to press the correct buttons.

I don't think anyone has any issue with Raidarr and his use of global tools. We've all seen how he handles them and his efficiency so he has already proved himself. He has already been Global Sysop once and Steward twice and while he concedes he won't be a super-duper active user, his present activity is very good and he's a regular around Discord and #support.   • Interesting thought... I'd say I will accept this but understand that there may be concerns regarding my late controversy with the platform (which you can read my response to). I think I would be of use taking the edge off once again although I still can't offer anything special for activity and I still have rough blunt edges that need some curbing especially for a role like this. I accept because despite having record membership the steward team still needs hands on deck to smoothen how things run, especially at the moment all stewards seem fairly maxed out. I don't believe the CVT wiki has been updated much and that's a major thing I'd want to support with. Ensuring I don't overextend as I have unfortunately been prone to do in the past remains a priority. I don't have much new to say on that except to try and do what I've thought of in the past, better.   9.  Support During Raidarr's previous tenure as he was a helpful, active and efficient user. It is also admirable that he spends considerable time in writing essays on various topics and dedicates himself to improving Miraheze and the community processes. In the present time even without having any roles other than wiki creator Raidarr is as active as a person can be on Meta and continues to help users and answer questions. I did not identify any particular concerns regarding his previous actions and use of tools while he was Steward. Regarding the CheckUser activity which lead to the Trust and Safety ban I am rather satisfied with the explanation given in his essay and in either case Global Sysop does not grant Raidarr access to those permissions. I have been contributing to Wikibooks and I had made over 32,000 edits in Wikibooks. I am an administrator at Wikibooks and I primarily contribute on cooking articles and recipes on Wikibooks. I would be a great opportunity to be a global sysop in Miraheze. I would like to help out and deal technical maintenance to wikis on Miraheze, especially Cookbookholic.
