Blocked from All The Tropes Wiki, but I'm not a spammer or abusing multiple accounts

Block log: 15:42, 23 January 2020 Looney Toons changed block settings for Eyesnore with an expiration time of indefinite (account creation disabled, email disabled, cannot edit own talk page) (Abusing multiple accounts: Presumed spammer - 6-month-old unused account which suddenly created a secondary account)

I have a global account that is attached to various Miraheze wikis, including mh:allthetropes:All the Tropes Wiki. I have made over 500 edits across all Miraheze wikis, none of which are suspected spam. Can you please unblock me on All the Tropes wiki (which you did over a year ago)? Thanks. My apologies. We have been severely hammered by spammers in the past several months, and that block was applied during the midst of what we've come to call "the Storm", a five-week period when spammers were registering bogus accounts at a rate of one a minute and trying to post spam pages every ten minutes or so. We've also had a long-standing rule about accounts creating accounts because in the past we have only seen spammers or vandals doing so. These log entries suddenly appeared beyond my control back on January 2020: mh:allthetropes:Special:Log/Eyesnore, and I did not notice it. I didn't know until now. I was editing other Miraheze wikis under my username. False positive? Eyesnore (talk) 19:57, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

That's what looks like happened, to be honest. A common username among spam only accounts is to have two seemingly different words paired together, usually with a number, like Purplehyena7 or something like that. Dmehus (talk) 20:00, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
